regardless of time passing, there are songs that hold a tremendous quality. time can go by them, maybe 40, 50 or even 100 years, but what is really good, will always be somewhat immortal.
amália rodrigues's voice is a clear sign of the immortality, genius of her person itself, and of course it's own music. recently, portugal has seen the emergence of a new band, which took the song barco negro (originally from amália), and gave it a new electro-pop sound and interpretation. the name is amor electro.
the most interesting to me, is the fact that this new interpretation, is something genuinely portuguese, just like the original was 40 years ago.
